How We Got Ditto

In the fall of 2004 my family went to a greyhound meet-&-greet to look at the greyhounds and think about witch one to get.  Dad was just about to say that the rambunctious one was good to get when Ditto, a four- year- old faun colored greyhound, stuck his head right between Dad's legs, that was settled. A couple of days later we met a volunteer at PetCo to pick Ditto up. On the way home he was shaking in the small trunk of our minnie van  while we tried to comfort him. When we got home that night we were trying  to get him to go up the stairs so he could sleep in Mom & Dad's room but no matter how much we called he wouldn't come up. So Dad volunteered to sleep downstairs. I was about 5 at the time, and I asked Mom for some pieces of food to give to him. I carefully put a piece of food on each step, and gradually Ditto came up the stairs. Ever after that, Ditto has always came up the stairs.
